Gothic Night makeup look
A dark studio look: smoked lids, a thin black lash line, and a deep red mouth. The portrait below is the game’s Gothic Night example. Open free studio with the Gothic starter and this theme when you want to paint it yourself.
Six Gothic Night colors
These are the theme colors. The palette part of your score looks at how close your paint sits to them. Suggested shows six chips for the current brush, and the Gothic starter fills those chips with its own colors, so a theme hex may be missing there. All six theme colors are on the main color grid in Settings. Custom can set one too.
- Black
#111111 - Charcoal
#2f3542 - Deep violet
#5f27cd - Dark red
#8b0000 - Silver
#c0c0c0 - Indigo
#341f97
The Gothic starter already places a mouth at #7a3038, a cheek at #a07070, and a shadow at #5a4a58. Paint over that base. You do not need to cover every pixel before it reads as a night look.
Brush order
- Eyeshadow. The eyes close for this brush. From the color grid, sweep deep violet (
#5f27cd) or indigo (#341f97) on the lid, then charcoal (#2f3542) or black (#111111) toward the outer corner. Charcoal is also in the Gothic eyeshadow suggestions. Leave Clip to lids & lips on. Mirror starts on, so the other eye follows. - Eyeliner. Drop the brush size and trace the lash line in black or charcoal. The liner is thin and strong, so use short strokes. Mirror keeps both eyes together.
- Brow. Use a small brush and a dark color along the brow. Keep Mirror on.
- Blush. The starter cheek is already muted. Add only a little, at low opacity, so the face does not turn bright pink.
- Lipstick. Fill the lips with dark red (
#8b0000). Clip keeps you on the mouth. Leave Gloss off for a flat night lip. - Gloss, only if you want a highlight. Tap a little silver (
#c0c0c0) in the center of the lip. A full coat of gloss makes the mouth look wetter than this look wants. - Contour, optional. Shade under the cheekbone with charcoal. Skip Highlight unless you want one cool edge on the brow bone.
- Glitter, optional. One or two silver dots at the outer corner. More than that fights the smoke.
Tips for this look
- Build the smoke in two light passes. The eyeshadow brush starts quite sheer, which is what you want here.
- Press Orbit and drag to check the side of the face. Pinch to zoom the lash line. Two fingers zoom and do not paint.
- Use Eraser on a wing or a lip edge that went too far, then paint that spot again.
- Quick 90s is tight for all eight steps. Free studio has no clock. Classic 9 min is the timed option if you still want a score clock.
- Studio pays no coins. Save the picture to the local gallery when you want to keep it. The gallery holds 8 looks.
The matching bright look is the princess sweetheart look. Brush basics for every mode are in how to play.
