How to play Makeup Rush 3D
Pick a mode, paint on the 3D face, then finish, save, or keep editing. The home page waits until you press Play Free. This guide opens free studio so you can try the brushes without a clock.
Choose a mode
- Quick 90s is the default. You have a minute and a half to put a look on the face.
- Free studio has no timer. Use it to learn the brushes. Finishing in studio does not award coins.
- Classic 9 min is the long timed round, for a fuller face of makeup.
On the home screen, leave Quick 90s selected or switch the Mode choices before you start. Resume draft brings back the look stored in this browser.
Start from a look
The first time you enter the studio, pick a starter or a blank face. Daily, Sweet, and Gothic already place a mouth, cheek, and eye shadow. Blank starts empty. Sweet is the princess starter. Gothic is the night starter. You can follow either look step by step:
Each round also has a theme with six colors, such as Summer Juice, Gothic Night, or Sweetheart. The palette score compares your paint with that theme. Suggested shows six chips for the brush you selected. A starter look fills those chips with its own colors. Use the color grid in Settings, or Custom, when you want a theme color that is not in that row.
Brush order
The in-game guide uses three steps. You can skip it, and you can open it again with Guide.
- Eyeshadow. The eyes close while this brush is selected. Sweep the lids. Clip to lids & lips keeps the color on the lid area, and Mirror starts on.
- Blush. Sweep the cheeks with a low opacity so the color stays soft. Mirror starts on.
- Lipstick. Fill the lips. Clip keeps the color on the mouth. Mirror starts off, so you shape the lips yourself.
After those three, add what the look needs:
- Gloss shines over lipstick. It also stays inside the lip area when clip is on.
- Eyeliner is a thin, strong brush for the lash line. Short strokes are easier to control. Mirror starts on.
- Brow is a small brush. Follow the brow shape with Mirror on.
- Foundation is a large soft brush for skin.
- Concealer stamps over a small spot.
- Contour shades the cheek hollow and jaw.
- Highlight lifts the brow bone and the bridge of the nose.
- Contacts stamps a new iris color. Dragging does not repeat the stamp.
- Glitter scatters specks. A short tap stays in one spot, and a long drag spreads them.
- Eraser removes paint.
Brush size and opacity live in Settings, along with a custom color. The rail under the face is where you switch tools. Undo, redo, Mirror, Orbit, and Settings sit under the canvas.
Turn the face and zoom
- Drag on the face to paint. That drag does not rotate the head.
- Press Orbit, then drag, to turn the head. Orbit is the only rotate control.
- Scroll or pinch to zoom. A two-finger pinch does not paint.
- Settings includes view presets: Face, Eyes, Lips, and Reset view.
Finish and the score
Finish stays unavailable until the face has loaded. The score is out of 100. It adds how much of the face you painted, how close the colors are to the theme palette, and whether you used several tools and colors. A nearly empty face counts as blank and scores zero. It is a painting score, not a ranking against other people. You play solo.
After the result you can continue editing, share an image, download it, or save it to the gallery. Continue editing keeps what you painted.
Coins
A new browser starts with 500 coins. Timed rounds can award more coins when you finish a painted look. A blank face pays nothing, finishing the same round again does not pay twice, and free studio pays nothing. There is no checkout and no account.
Coins unlock extra palettes and one bonus theme. Painting itself stays available.
- Neon Glow palette, 300 coins
- Macaron palette, 300 coins
- Gilded Metal palette, 500 coins
- Aurora theme, 200 coins
Keep a look
Save to gallery stores the picture in this browser, up to 8 looks. Delete one from the local gallery when you need room. Share image and Download image stay on your device. A draft can be resumed from Home. Nothing you paint is uploaded.
